If you wish to have patterns shipped on CD-ROM, please note your request in the space provided by PayPal for comments.

Do you provide patterns for Statler Stitchers not running Precision Stitch?

If you are operating your Statler Stitcher using software other than Precision Stitch, such as Legacy or Legacy Gold, please contact Todd Brown by or phone to place your order.

Do you offer custom patterns?

Patterns purchased from the website or catalog may be modified to suit your quilting design, on request and free of charge, with the designer’s permission. Custom pattern design and digitizing is provided at US$25 per hour. Typical cost for a custom pattern is between US$25 and US$50 depending on complexity and detail. Custom patterns require a scanned image, preferably bitmap (.bmp) or jpeg (.jpg) formats. Paper patterns may be delivered to Legacy Quilting for scanning but may be cut into pieces for convenient scanning. Legacy Quilting may refuse to digitize a pattern because of possible copyright violation but will attempt to obtain permission from the designer to digitize the pattern for the customer. Custom patterns are the property of the purchaser, will not be encrypted nor included in the Legacy Quilting catalog for sale without permission.

Can I include my designs in your catalog?

Pattern designers are invited to join Legacy Quilting’s catalog to sell designs. Income sharing ratios are based on relative levels of responsibilities for the designer and Legacy Quilting. Designs by quilters often fill a need experienced by other quilters who appreciate the opportunity to buy the design

What is encryption?

Patterns are sent to the customer encrypted to operate only on the purchaser’s machine. This is done to protect the designer’s copyrights. The controller serial number is a 4 or 5 digit number used to encrypt the pattern and is found in the upper right corner of the Precision Stitch start-up screen. When the number used to encrypt the pattern matches the controller serial number of the Statler Stitcher where the pattern is located, the pattern will open and be useable. Otherwise, a “copyright violation” message will appear and the pattern will not function.

If the purchaser of patterns has more than one Statler Stitcher, patterns will be sent individually encrypted for all machines at no extra cost. If a pattern customer purchases additional Statler Stitchers in the future, all previously purchased patterns will be provided to the customer for each new machine at no additional cost.
